Earpods not connected to Windows 10 laptop/iPhone at same time?

This is super critical for me as I am on meetings online on laptop and cannot be switching to bluetooth on if I get a call on my iphone! Am I missing some setting? Also if I am listening to Spotify on laptop it's not connected to iphone!

I am hoping like my bose wireless headset would automatically connect to both devices when I switch them on, I am hoping the earpods does as well instead of manually going to each device to connect

If you want to connect your airpods to your windows 10 pc you have to make sure that bluetooth is turned off on the iPhone because when u try to connect the airpods to windows 10 while having your iPhone with you it would most definitely connect to the Airpods first

Thanks. I have paired both my iPhone and Windows10 and they connect separately very well, no issues at all. However I need both devices to be connected at the same time!
