It's one I am currently working on. It crashes the entire app. All other projects open and playback fine. This is a new issue to the app. Been working on this one project for several months. Only new thing I've done with it is add non project pictures to apps library.

Where is you library located?
Are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
Do you have iCloud Library enabled? If so do you have "Optimize Mac Storage" enabled also?
Duplicate the project, Control (right) - click on it and select Duplicate from the contextual menu. Try to open the duplicate project.
Next create a new project and add the same photos to it. Does that project also crash Photos? If so you may have a damaged photo in the project that's causing the problem. Try editing each photo in the project with some innocuous edit so see it you can. Then try the project again.

Duplicated project and it played back in its entirety entirity . I'm a happy guy again.

Mystery continues but I have a new version to work on.
When the problem project was created there was some corruption in the entry to the databases for some reason. Often duplicating the project will correct the corruption and get it working again. Glad to hear it's OK!
