Take a look at this, iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support and this, About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support. As far as the battery draining after you have turned the phone off, that may indicate there is a problem with the battery itself. However, generally battery draining is usually a device specific issue. After an iOS update, it can take the iPhone 24-48 hours to reindex files and will use a great deal of battery. That will usually settle down after that. Another cause would be a process that is attempting to finish and has gotten stuck. A force restart of the iPhone will generally settle that down. You can try force restarting the iPhone and see if that helps. Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
