quality buying music from itunes store?

how many kbps are the songs you can buy from the itunes store? i cant find it in de store itself

and can you choose the file extension?

All songs sold in the iTunes Store are in AAC format, 256 kbps encoding.

If you are looking for downloads with higher quality, they are available in other music download sites such as qobuz.com and hdtracks.com .
