Delete multiple iMessages

Right now, on my Macbook Pro, in order to remove messages I have to click on the "x" in each message, then confirm "Do you want to delete this message". It's a pain. How can I delete all of the messages at once?

Hello Mark,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand that you want to remove multiple messages in iMessages at one time. If you are talking about removing conversations, you can only remove one conversation at a time, click the "x" in the conversation and confirming the deletion.

If you are looking for something different, then get back with us with further information and we can go from there.

Best regards.

Mark,

Thank you for the clarification. There isn't a way to select a few messages to delete at one time. The closest I could find is to clear the whole conversation.

If you select one word within the message then Control + click the message. You will get a menu, select View and you get the option to "Clear Chat Transcript". But that is the whole conversation, not selected messages within the conversation.

Cheers.
