Which os would be best for my Macbook Air 13" mid 2013 model?

I'm currently looking to see if I should update a mid 2013 Macbook Air 13" that is currently running OS X El Capitan.

Here are the specs:

-Processor 1.3 GHz Inter Core i5

-Memory 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

-Graphics Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

-Storage 128 GB Flash Storage

I know it supports Catalina but I'm afraid it could be really sluggish. Any recommendations?
