Hello people, I have a pkg. file but I cant install it. Every time I click it I get "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)" error. Permissions are all set so there is no problem. And I tried creating a disk in disk utility and tried running the installation from there as I saw it in one of the responses but it didnt work too. How can I install it? Please help me guys. Thank you.

That error message is generally displayed when hardware and/or OS requirements of the software that you are attempting to install are NOT met. This can also be related to a corrupt package. Can you check that your hardware meets the software's requirements by checking on the software's website? If that is not the issue then download the software again and attempt to reinstall it.

Perhaps the package is damaged or just poorly built.

It won't fix anything, but at least you can inspect it for the purposes of determining what it's going to do before it does it.
