ipad restore issues

Hi everyone,

So I am having some trouble restoring my iPad, I am unsure which gen exactly it is but it still has a home button. I have turned it off, connected it to my computer while holding the home button to bring up the restore screen, it popped up in iTunes and I have clicked restore iPad, however nothing happens. No pop up windows, no progress bar, nothing. Is there something else I need to do or if not, does anyone know why it's not restoring? I have also tried on 3 seperate computers to restore it with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
