Garageband bass, treble and compression for Mac

I've been using Garageband on ipad for a few days and wanted to make the jump to Mac because I assumed it would be better but I was completely wrong?!

I am trying to simply turn down the compression along with adjusting the bass and treble levels on a track and it seems impossible on a mac, the ipad version is so simple to use with the levels being adjustable by slider.

This probably seems very silly but I'm a beginner and I cant seem to find anything online which shows you how to do this and I feel like I'm missing a trick.

Please help me

Hello Liam_Viney,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you'd like information about how to use several GarageBand features on your Mac. I'd be happy to share information that may help.

To adjust treble and bass using GarageBand, check out the information here: GarageBand for Mac: Use the amp EQ controls.

You may also find this guide to be helpful: GarageBand for Mac: GarageBand at a glance.

Take care.
