Assistive Touch Mouse Issues - iPad OS 13.4.1

This new update seems to have made the use of a mouse via Assistive Touch more clunky and awkward to use than before.

When I move the mouse it’s doesn’t respond straight away, which is driving me insane. I can’t seem to find a setting to fix this? Does it exist? Or is this just a new glitch with the new update?

Yes but in that 'basic' mode you don't get access to your mouse's extra features like additional buttons and such. E.g. pressing your middle button between left and right click to go back to the Home Screen or the use of the scroll wheel.

If you want to use those features, you need to activate Assistive Touch and that's when the misery starts. Nothing works correctly with AT on.
