MacBook Air 2019 keyboard showing signs of wear

I am no tech expert and have no training in the technology or computer field I just use computers and a 2015 Macbook Air. I have a degree in Hotel Management. However I would not think that the keys on the keyboard should be doing that even with heavy use. I would contact Apple support and let them know that it is doing that. Check to see if it is still under warranty unless you purchased an Apple care plan perhaps a free replacement is in place for that. I would be on the phone with Apple as soon as I noticed that was happening telling them I am not happy with that.

There may be a need to see if keyboard protector may help

so the key-face detail may not wear off. ~ And newer design

keyboard protectors have each key's details above each key.

So these covers may allow you to keep using same old keyboard

because cover has imprint in black of all keys, in silicone rubber.

(Other colors may be available, depending on maker; incl. clear too.)

A factor to consider, should the key-face color on keyboard actually

be wearing off quicker than expected; this may be environmental.

{If any contact transfer of chemical or solvent, makes its way from

other surfaces in regular usage, this could cause mac keys to fade.}

Should the key-face detail be prematurely wearing off, or fading due

to environmental induced weakness, proceeding easy answer exists.

In 'crisis lockdown' rather than removal of entire top case - in repair

facility - the keyboard covers are under $10 USD plus shipping.

So rather than going to another extreme, it's simpler to ship a cover

instead of the entire MacBook Air. ~Unless k/b mechanisms jamb, no

reason to expect one keyboard issue would be under AppleCare+.

And Apple service could send shipping box to end user for round-

trip transport for repairs; this is a service available in some regions.
