Find my iPhone showing various last locations for lost/stolen iPad
I haven't seen my iPad Pro since I was at the airport about 2 weeks ago, returning from a vacation. Thursday of last week, I tried using the Find My app on my iPhone to search for it and the last location was shown to be just a few blocks from my house, located at 3:40 AM that morning. I attempted to mark it as lost so it would display a contact number and a message offering a reward, but the iPad was offline so the lost designation still shows as pending.
Here's the weird part. The next day, on Friday, the Find My app on my phone started showing the last location as the airport with the date of my flight a couple weeks back. It's like it reversed the info to a previous date and location than what was originally displayed.
Now it is Sunday evening and when I use the Find My app on my MacBook it shows yet another location even further in the past by several more weeks. The phone app still shows the airport location from the time of my flight. The website version of Find My just shows the iPad as offline, no location.
I can't get any of the instances of the app to show that most recent location from just a few days ago that was originally shown. I'm so confused at this point.
Can anyone make sense of this and help me keep hope alive of retrieving my iPad somehow?
