I can't see the purchase date of the Mac

I have checked the website http://support.apple.com and put in my serial number to check the date of purchase but do not see it. The only thing i see is a Green check and it says the I have a valid date of purchase. But I cant actually see the date.

I've used the site numerous times for years, but you have to decide for yourself.

You can use the information on this website to try to decode the serial number yourself (I've never tried to verify the accuracy of decoding the newer serial number format):

If you need the actual purchase date, then you either need to check your own records for a receipt or you need to contact Apple directly for the information.

There are ways to calculate the manufacture date from the serial number itself. You can also enter your serial number on this website which should also provide a manufacture date for the computer. In many regions Apple warranty support or free repair programs will use the manufacture date if the purchase date information is not on file with Apple.
