Can this make internal damage to an iPhone?

A while ago, my friend hit the back of the iPhone really hard a couple of times using his palm and he was wearing a thick ring. He also put some pressure on the iphone, as if someone was sitting on it. I had a protective cover on the iPhone XR, which is shock-proof 3 meters. The case is called Sbs. Is the cover strong enough to absorb the shock? Should I be worried? I'm really scared and have been thinking about it for a week now. The iPhone worked fine, but after 10 days I had an issue with the camera. I realized that this issue began to happen after 2 days from updating to the ios 13.3.1 update. Whenever I unlock/lock my iPhone or use social media, I can hear a clicking noise from the camera. It's a sound as if the camera is trying to "wake-up or to focus". I then decided to restart the iPhone. After the update, that "clicking noise" began to happen when I'm using social media for 5 minutes and when I'm viewing stories on snapchat and instagram. The problem is that I keep hearing noises coming from the iPhone XR. It's not just from the camera. These noises began to happen 10 days after the incident of my friend. What do you think?"

It's this cover I had:

There is a person I also asked online about this situation and he works at an iPhone repair shop. He replied, "Yes. The phone is fine. I'm saying that hitting a phone a few times with your hand isn't going to hurt it in the first place."

Another person who works in a Microscopic board repair shop said online to me, "Your friend did no damage at all. If the phone is working as it should there is no need to worry especially since it is a single layer board unlike the X where the two board layers are connected by an interposer board. The clicking you here is from the camera, most likely when you are using certain apps. To my knowledge you can hear this on all XR, s some louder than others. I suspect this was always happening but only realised it because you where scrutinising the phone looking for a fault after it was sat on or dropped. I never paid attention to the click until I was made aware of it, now I hear it all the time on certain apps."

What do you think about what they said? Is it true that they are saying that what my friend did makes no damage to an iPhone XR? They said it needs more than that to cause damage, for example, a drop or a throw. I just want to know, in general, if what my friend did can make damage to an iPhone or not.

Thanks. I would really be glad if I get a reply.

I'm assuming your phone had no prior damage, and since it was in a supposed "shock proof case", it should have no circuitry damage. However, I can't seem to find your case via the link, so I'm hoping that it's a case, and surrounds the back and sides. Then it should have no damage.

It could potentially be a software problem, or just malware, since I used iOS 13.3(I think I'm 13.4 now?) and my camera's fine. So I'm thinking you have malware or just a problem with your apps. I'm sure there's no OS problem since the releases are generally widespread, so everyone would have this problem.

I'm not an expert at iPhone malware, so check your downloads and see if there's anything fishy, look around the support community for advice on iPhone malware check/removal, and perhaps delete and re-install your Social media apps, since it seems that this problem only occurs when you are using social media. good luck, and please tell me if your camera does this after using other non-social media apps.

Good luck!

Stainless steel. Since it's TPU, I'm sure it absorbed the impacts. And if he applied pressure when it was in your pocket, I'm sure it's fine, since not only is the case higher, providing a bit of a turtleshell protection, but also you leg acted as a cushion. If you can, upgrade to iOS 13.4.1 or something. Since it's only breaking when you use social media... wait, go to settings, turn don't "allow camera" for you social media apps, so they have no way to access it. Then, launch instagram or something and wait five minutes. If it still happens, try using another app to see whether it makes the sound. If yes, there's a hardware issue OR your camera controller isn't exactly cooperating and is glitchy, and if it doesn't, this issue is exclusive to social media apps. Try deleting them and re-installing them.

That's what I believe, yes. I own a iPhone XR, and I accidentally dropped it OUTSIDE a case as I was removing a SIM card. Boom. 1 meter fall to solid wood. NOTHING cracked, and it's been almost a year and my phone's working perfectly fine. So in a CASE that's ShockProof? I'm pretty sure your phone should be fine. However, please answer these questions so I can better understand the full extent of the you know, potential damage.

1) Was your phone in a case when your friend hit your phone?

2) Does your case extend slightly over the screen? Like is the case, when on your phone, higher than the screen, or level?

3) is your case hard and unbendable or bendable like rubber?

4) does your phone's case have any cracks/dents or other damage from your friend's 'abuse'?

5)does your phone have any prior damage?

6) How hard was your phone hit? Like how large were the rings, umm, composition, and weight, perhaps?

7) did he apply pressure on a flat surface, and how did he apply pressure(block on it, brick on it, stepped on it, etc)

Also, the part where he sat on your phone... that isn't a primary concern. I sat on my phone more than 10 times and it's THRIVING.

Thanks for your reply.

So you are saying that what my friend did is nothing compared to a drop on the floor? (because the impact from my friend makes no damage at all)

And can we say as well that what my friend did not make anything loose in the phone?

The experts I asked online said it needs more than that to cause damage, for example, it needs a drop or a throw. They are saying that what my friend did makes no damage at all. He just hit the back of the iPhone really hard a couple of times using his palm and he was wearing a two thick rings. He also put some pressure on the iphone, as if someone was sitting on it.

Thanks again. I really don't know how to thank you for helping. I appreciate it.

Thanks for you reply. I really appreciate your help.

1) Yes, the case was on. That's the case: http://www.sbsmobile.it/en-gb/products/style-protection/smartphone/2770-shock-cover-for-iphone-x-unbreakable-line.html

2) A bit higher than the screen.

3) It's a bit hard. You can check the link I shared. The edges are bendable and made of rubber, but the back is not made of rubber nor bendable.

4) The cover is a scratched because of other things. I guess it has nothing to do with the incident of my friend.

5) The iPhone worked fine, but after 10 days I had an issue with the camera. I realized that this issue began to happen after 2 days from updating to the ios 13.3.1 update. 6) The iPhone was hit really hard with the palm of the hand. The two rings looked like that one: https://cz.shadestation.com/navrhar-sperku/Diesel/DX0293

7) He applied pressure when the iPhone was in my pocket.
