Helpful terminal prompts to clean and repair HD, SDD, and External HD

Hi everyone,

I'm a little new at this, however am very interested in getting better with terminal and coding for mac/linus and java script. I was having issues with my HD but after running terminal from Recovery Drive and using diskutil verifyVolume /dev/disk0s1 and repairVolume ext. things are looking better than ever on my mac. Does anybody have any other tips I can use? I also am posting my EtreCheck report in case anyone notices an error or suspicion in the report.

Thank you,

MT

macOS is switching from bash to zsh command shell with Catalina.

If you want to learn the command line, there are various resources.

Here are a few:

That should keep you busy...

Oh, and sudo is really, really, hazardous. Have backups. And always experiment in a separate non-admin login to isolate the potential for damage, and avoid using sudo until you know what you’re doing.
