Why can’t I find my Memoji?

I am not able to use my Memoji. The little monkey that is suppose to pop up for messages and FaceTime calls, doesn’t show. What do I do?

Memoji button? Where exactly? The Memoji button described in article Use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support is not visibly available in my iPhone 6s Plus iOS 15.5 iMessages, nor my iPad Pro 9.7 iOS 15.5 iMessages. The Apple instructions are inadequate. Can someone guide me better than Apple in this essentially trivial task? Thanks in advance.

Memoji Missing from IPad Messages I’ve searched this whole community all day and haven’t found any suggestions that work. I’ve tried everything. Memoji is not an option for my iPad messages apps. I can’t find anything in the store. It works on 2 of my 3 iPads but the last one is being stubborn. All settings and software updates are triple checked and Memoji is selected. It doesn’t show up as an option in edit.

Make Your Own Memoji When I follow the directions to make my memoji, I open messages, tap to start a new message, but then I do not see the icon of the monkey in a circle to tap. Where is that icon?
