Mac software to create time-lapse from still images

I’ve used Apple’s Quicktime software possibly as far back as Apple OS 9.

Some time following the introduction of digital cameras I began using QuickTime 7 Player to combine time lapse images into movies/videos. My latest attempt to create a video of a sunset was met with a video of a lime colored screen and no sunset images. This is a result of upgrading my MacOS to Mojave.

As a result I am seeking Mac software compatible with today’s newer Mac OS system software (Mojave) which will do what Quicktime 7 player used to do.

Does anyone in this Group have any recommendations?
