5GHZ SIGNAL NOT ABLE TO BE SEEN Airport extreme firmware 7.9.1

Hi all, sorry if this appears in other places but I am trying to enable the 5ghz signal on my AE. It has firmware 7.9.1. My devices cannot see the 5ghz signal and i have tried all suggested channels and others.

I have always used 2.4 with no issues and decided to try the 5ghz one. I tried naming it the same with 5ghz and just a simple 5 but it still cannot be seen.

I have google and do not see the same options for the settings in this firmware version 7.9.1 where you can control the radio signal mode etc.

Per chance did this issue occur after upgrading the firmware on your 802.11ac AirPort Extreme base station to 7.9.1? Are you using a Mac or iOS device to manage your base station?

By default, your AirPort Extreme will broadcast two wireless networks with the same network name simultaneously. You do have the option to change the 5 GHz network name via the AirPort Utility, as well as, manually control what radio channels either network uses on the Wireless Options window within that utility.

Again, by default, both are set to "Automatic." Just change either to the desired channel you want them to operate on.
