Loading stalls on wifi

Webpages and apps stall loading when I am connected to WiFi on my iPhone 8. I have a strong WiFi connection with a 50mbps connection. The unusual thing is that if I open control center while it is stalled, the page will instantly load. OS is up to date and I tried resetting network settings. This happens across all apps including Safari. There doesn’t seem to be any issues when I am using cellular data.

Hello Jon_123,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

It is my understanding from your post that when connected to Wi-Fi webpages and apps stall when loading. Does this happen with all Wi-Fi networks you've been connected to? For your home Wi-Fi network the following article will provide you with Apple's recommended settings for IOS devices:

If there is any interference with your Wi-Fi, this article will provide you with information that can help prevent it:
