Why does my group name on group messaging keep getting removed and assigning that removal to someone who isn

Our group message has a name that one of us created. Throughout the course of our texting, it will say that someone has removed the name of the conversation. But that person says they didn't do anything. This happens constantly with different people being assigned to the removal of the name.

Hi lizeth36,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand in a conversation thread through the Messages app, the name of the group thread unexpectedly changes without anybody making the change.

Managing the name of a group message is an important option to keep your messages organized. I'll be happy to help.

I recommend to have each user restart their devices to see if this behavior continues to occur: Restart your iPhone Now if that doesn't help, you have the option to delete the conversation thread for the group and create a new one. From there, you can monitor and see if you continue to experience the same behavior.

Please let me know if that helps.

Kind regards.
