Digitizing a 20 year dvd collection, please help.

Good evening all,

I want to digitize the dvd collection I have accumulated over the past several years. I have figured out how to rip a few dvds on to my Mac and drag an drop the media file into the Apple TV app on my desktop. The media is downloaded only to the Apple TV app on the Mac. I have tried after each download to access the media from the Apple TV app on the Samsung smart tv only to find its strictly on the Mac. What I want to be able to do is, access all of my dvd's from the Apple TV app on my Samsung smart tv. Please if anyone can offer any help, I would appreciate it. I am not tech savvy by any means. I have been working on this task for the past few days an have yet to figure it out. Thank you.

The Apple TV app on supported smart TVs does not feature Home Sharing.

To use Home Sharing (for videos), you will need an Apple TV set-top box.

However, you can use AirPlay to stream from your Mac to an AirPlay-enabled TV (push vs. pull).
