Dashboard in Mac OS Catalina

Nobody here can tell you why, because only Apple knows.

Dashboard had been left for dead for years, so I can say it was no surprise that it went away.

Some of the features of Dashboard can be accessed in the Notifications area, like Calculator World Clock, or Weather.

Yes, "some of the features".... very much like a "one trick pony".

Is there alternative to Dashboard? For example to be able quickly, with a mere gesture, to see 5 time zones, and a calendar for quick reference? Or have a business and basic calculator at the finger tips?

Any assistance much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. However, on those simple terms it still does not meet my needs - for example, no day/date on the time zones, no combined day/month view on the calendar, only one calculator, etc.

I must assume therefore the functionality in Catalina, for my needs, is reduced. Will have too downgrade.

Keep in mind that many of the Dashboard widgets are no longer supported and will not function properly even with older macOS versions.
