iPhone Charger/Charging issues

Why do I have to stick my charger into the port at a precise angle in order to create a positive connection in order to charge my phone? What can be causing this issue?

Hello DodgeRamMan88,

I see that you're having an issue when you try to charge your iPhone. I know how important it is to be able to charge your iPhone properly, and I'd be happy to help.

Take a look at the article below with some troubleshooting steps that can help with this issue that you've been experiencing. Make sure to check the charging port for any debris that could be getting in the way.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge

Let me know how this goes and if there are any changes.

Have a great day!

most likely dirt in the phone’s lightning connector, or a non-approved cable that is poorly made. Get a bright light and a toothpick and clean out the connector.

Thanks for your response. I read the article and followed the suggestions/tips and I'm still encountering the same issue. I checked for any lent/debris in the port and to the naked eye I couldn't see anything in there. In addition to that, I think if anything was stuck in the port that it would prevent any type of charge, not just some. Nonetheless, without the help of technical help from the Genius Bar, I think I'm out of options at this point. Thanks again for your help!
