Color bars on top of screen

Vertical and horizontal color lines are appearing on my macbook pro in upper left corner. Turned off and still there. And idea how to remove?

Thanks for posting! It's important to keep your Mac running its best, and I'll be glad to see how I can help. I see you have color lines appearing in the corner of your Mac display and they're still there after restarting.


The best way to test this is to boot into macOS Recovery. You can do this by starting up and holding Command-R on your keyboard: Mac startup key combinations


If the lines aren't present when you start up in macOS Recovery, try resetting your NVRAM and System Management Controller and check to see if that helped:


Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac


How to reset the SMC of your Mac


On the other hand, if you see the lines while you boot up in macOS Recovery, your best bet is to get in touch with Apple to look at your options: Contact Apple Support
