My AirPods sound quality sounds really bad and muffled all of a sudden

my air pods sound quality sounds really bad and muffled all of a sudden. they were fine a few days ago and nothing has happened to them. Is there a reason why? or do you know how to fix it?

Take them out of the case and look at the speaker grills. If they are covered with earwax clean them.
