PlayStation Dualshock 4, v2 not working with iOS 13

Hi, I bought two controllers DualShock 4,v2 (same sold from Apple on its website) But none works with iPhone or iPad ( running the latest software update).

the controller pairs with both iPhone and iPad but then no games (which support controllers) work with it. The controller is connected but it can’t control the game.

i noticed that the controller pairs and work with Apple TV ( at least I was able to scroll apps ).

i reviewed all articles online, Apple website and couldn’t find anything. That controller should work flawlessly with iOS 13.

any help?Advice?

Hi AL_17,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're having trouble using a PlayStation controller with your iPhone and iPad, but it seems to work when connected to your Apple TV. I know how convenient it is to use a game controller with games from Apple Arcade or the App Store; I'd like to help. It sounds like you've tried some troubleshooting already, but I'd recommend reviewing this information next:

"If you need to update the firmware on your controller, check with your game controller manufacturer.

Check that you’re in range of your device and there isn’t interference in the area.

If your controller won't connect or doesn't work as expected

Connect a wireless game controller to your Apple device

Should you continue to have trouble, or you've already attempted these steps, reach out to Apple for additional assistance: Get Support

Best Regards.

Hi PsyDye,

thank for your reply.

I tried everything and nothing works. Controller is connected but nothing happens in the game.

I have never heard or read on the web that people are updating the firmware of the dualshock 4.

I don't think there is a interference because I am not experiences issue with other devices.

I am lost at this issues....I was thinking to return both controllers and buy the same from Apple website. If there is something with the firmware, I am sure Apple is selling the correct one. But it's weird that nobody else is experiencing this issue....

Regards,
