Upgrading to High Sierra 10.13.6

When I attempt to upgrade from the App Store I get a message that says 'the app is damaged and can't be used'? Has anyone else had this issue and is there an alternative to upgrade?

If it doesn't say "Download" in the AppStore, go to your Applications folder and check for "Install Mac OS High Sierra". If it is there, delete it. Then restart your Mac and try again.
