What is the difference between lightning to USB and lightning to USB 3?

Hello,

Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Adapter has a Lightning port for power pass through meaning that you can use USB devices while also supplying power to both the USB device and the iPad. This adapter is necessary for attaching USB external storage devices.

Sorry for the stupid reply confirmation. You mean to tell me the difference is a lightning to US adapter has no power port whereas the lightning to USB 3 adapter has a power port? I took it for granted they have a power port and that the difference is more technical.
