Where is Split Screen View on the iPhone 11 Pro Max for Amazon, Netflix and Hulu, Disney, you get the idea?

Some kind of floating window on the iPhone while allowed to continue checking and responding to email or surfing the web would be nice. This is one of the most requested features and my exec friend at Netflix said this is NOT a limitation due to Netflix. It's the same with Hulu. They are not the hang up. My question is, can this be done yet and when can we expect this very BASIC feature. I don't think Apple needs to continue to lose customers to Samsung just because of this little thing. PLEASE HELP! There is no reason this question should be blocked or removed. It's a fair question. Thanks. - M (I know this is available for the iPad but the question is specifically about the iPhone). Let's stop referring to the iPad please.

If, as you say, you know this is a question/answer forum, your questions indicated you don't know you are addressing an audience of Apple users only. None of whom work for Apple or can possibly know why. But let's dissect a couple points you made:

"My question is, can this be done yet and when can we expect this very BASIC feature."

Since this is what you really want to know, you should have stopped here. And the answer is there is currently no split screen on iPhone. Since no one on this forum works for Apple, no one can tell you if or when this feature will ever come to iPhone.

"I don't think Apple needs to continue to lose customers to Samsung just because of this little thing."

That's just a dumb statement to begin with. What proof do you have that suggests Apple is losing customers to Samsung over something as trivial as this?

"There is no reason this question should be blocked or removed. It's a fair question."

Your question wasn't blocked and it is a fair question. The answer however is you can't do split screen on iPhone. If that means your iPhone isn't the right phone for you and you feel Samsung would be a better option, buy a Samsung.

And by all means, use the feedback link you were provided to let Apple know your thoughts.

I am not missing something? Or that there is a work around app?

The feature does not exist. You haven't missed anything nor is there a workaround.

I also realize this is not Apple but you know they have people who are on this thing fully time, right?

Not really. Apple monitors the community to ensure we all follow the agreed upon terms. That is a fully-time job for sure. they are identified as Apple. I am pretty sure many rank and file Apple employees participate here but as individuals and do not speak for Apple.

You were given the relevant link to provide Feedback to Apple. If Apple lurks in the background, they are pretty good at it. If you look around, you will see Apple "recommends" some posts they deem are helpful and correct.

Entries advocating that Feedback be directed to Apple at their dedicated Feedback URL are almost always called out.

I take this to mean Apple wants Feedback"there" not "here". You be you though.

not for "a lecture".

I was hoping to educate, not lecture. You seem to feel Apple hides in plain sight here.

Feel free to ignore me. Many do.

That nobody here can answer.

Your exec friend at Netflix is likely better positioned to pass your request on to Apple.

Just fyi, the primary purpose of this community is to ask and have answered, technical support questions.

Discussing Apple policy or decisions, made or not-yet-made is not permitted.

I know this is a question/answer forum and not for "a lecture". I just wanted to setup the context. I also post because as a question, I am wanting assurance I am not missing something? Or that there is a work around app? I also realize this is not Apple but you know they have people who are on this thing fully time, right?... as normal "users"
