Right side USB-C ports not working

I have a 16 inch MacBook Pro that has worked perfectly until today. I plugged in a midi keyboard and now my 2 USB-C ports on the right side of the Mac no longer work. Even when nothing is plugged in, I receive a message saying to unplug the accessory using too much power. I have tried resetting the smc but had no success. Is there anything else that I can do to fix this problem?

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities, Cole!

I understand from your post that the USB-C ports on the right side of your MacBook Pro no longer work after using a MIDI keyboard. It looks like you've already reset the SMC and the issue is not resolved, as well. I'm happy to help!

If you have not already, I would recommend powering your Mac off, then unplugging any accessories you may still have connected to the Mac. Once you've done that, reset the SMC again: How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support. After the Mac comes back on, connect your peripherals one at a time to the affected USB-C ports to see if the issue is resolved.

If you've done that and still have trouble, see if you can reproduce the issue in safe mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac and a new, test user: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support. Safe mode runs some checks on your system while booting, and resolves issues where it can. It also disables certain software and features that may cause conflicts, while a new test user will help us rule out any data or settings in your current user account that could be conflicting with the ports.
