Apple ID

I bought the iPhone X MAX and found the Apple ID belongs to its previous owner, not mine and I have the purchase invoice, what should I do?

Contact the previous owner to have them log out of iCloud or go to https://www.icloud.com/find/ My Phone and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If you can’t do that, the device is useless.

Since you have the receipt, you can try contacting Apple ID Support. I'm not sure they will help since you aren't the original owner. Apple Support will need to see the original purchase receipt with the serial number/paperwork.
