Safari won't open after waking from sleep mode

Catalina 10.15.4, MacBook Pro is about 6 months old.

I out my MacBook to sleep by using the Apple icon and selecting sleep. When I bring it out of sleep mode, Safari won't open. It doesn't bounce or anything. It's like the icon is dead. I tried to force Safari to close but it won't close. I have to manually power the Mac off and back on to get it to work. If I just walk away from the Mac and let it go to sleep, it seems to be OK.

This started on the previous release of Catalina. I was hoping that 10.15.4 would fid it.

Thoughts?

You are welcome. If you want to try more troubleshooting, are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

Safe Mode - About.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin.

Eric, in the past, yes, it won't open from the Applications folder.

I have a new issue now. When I put my Mac to sleep from the menu, it goes to sleep. When I return to start things up again, it says it had to shutdown and do I want to report a problem. I have been reporting the problem.

So, I guess there is no need to pursue this fix at this time. I will just turn my Mac off instead of putting it to sleep.

I appreciate the input guys.

Thanks Eric, for the info on my problem. I am not using a VPN and I don't have use any anti-virus programs. Yesterday evening, I put the Mac to sleep using the menu. This morning when I woke it up, it once again had restarted due to a problem. I have copied the report below.
