Apple Music disconnects from Airport home network

My new iMac keep disconnecting from my home Airport network when I am streaming music around the house. My last iMac did this just fine with no issues. I have to choose the ap-express node over and over before it finally keep the connection, but if the music stops for more than a minute, it disconnects again.

Airplay audio disconnects 2012 Mac mini server from the network Problem: when choosing an audio output device, like an Airplay 2 speaker, or Apple Airport Express; the streaming device (Mac mini running Catalina) disconnects from the network when connected directly to the main gateway (MIkrotik hAP2). Every other device in my household can Airplay without issues. Those are all connected via Wi-Fi, where the Mac mini is on an ethernet only connection. The Mac mini fails to Airplay via Wi-Fi too; but in this scenario, it is not temporarily disconnected, as it is when hardwired. Network chain: Mac mini ethernet-> Mikrotik hAP2 wi-fi-> Airport Express (Join Network)

Apple Music Streaming Keeps Pausing Streaming Apple Music (one of my playlist) on Mac book pro M1 to multiple airplay speakers... since the last update in Mac OS (Catalina), streaming keeps stalling... literally just stop playing... It's not "stopped" as I can see the "play" button is showing "pause"... and I see the time count is literally stopped... so if I push pause and play again, it resumes playing.... Can't figure out why this is happening. I checked my network, it shows no sign of slow-down or anything. I even turned of notifications in case this interrupts.... but streaming still pausing... after playing 3 or 4 songs. The most songs I've played without this pause was prob 6 songs... can't play any playlist without this trouble... Can someone help what I can check? Thanks a lot in advance. Wooky

Per chance are your AirPort Express base stations running 7.8 or 7.8.1? If so, I suggest that you downgrade them to either 7.6.8 or 7.6.9 to see if that stabilizes the connectivity/streaming.

Click the icon of the Airport Express in AU

I will show from a Time Capsule but the same thing.

Hold down Option key and click the actual version number.. 7.9.1 in this case.. yours is 7.8.1

A list of supported versions will appear. select the one you want.

A warning will appear.. click continue and wait a couple of min and done.

They are running 7.8.1 but i have no idea how to downgrade them. Is there some software I can download for them?
