Ok to rename SSD Storage?

Is it okay to rename SSD? It's set to Untitled and about to embark on backups.

If yes, can I just rename from: 'Get Info' ?

While I"m at it -- Is there a rule regarding renaming external hard drives?

Any disk can be renamed. Just select the disk's icon and press RETURN to activate the field. Enter the name you want, then press RETURN to set the field.
