How do I transfer my photos from my phone to a USB drive and what is the best one to use? I have an iPhone 6.

Copy/transfer the photos to a computer and then copy them from the computer to a thumb drive:

Any USB drive that has the storage capacity should be OK.

There are quite a few out there that will connect to a lightning port. Research and find the best one for your needs.
