Box with arrow upper right corner

In the upper right corner a black box has appeared. It always has an up arrow and sometimes on one side or either side of the arrow there is another design icon type thing. It won’t move, doesn’t do anything when touched or swiped and is in the way. If you press on it, whatever below it will respond. If it’s above an app, the app will open. It seems to have no functionality except to be in the way. Any ideas??
