Am I the only one that hates the dark mode in Apple Maps?

I love dark mode on my iPhone. I really do. But, the map display in Apple Maps is really ugly and almost unusable. Am I the only one that hates the dark map display in Apple Maps?

Please Apple, give m a toggle to have the map being displayed in vibrant and light colors by keeping the dark menus in Apple Maps.

google maps making carplay lag I have been using google maps to connect to my KIA carplay. The maps will work fine for about 2 minutes then my map lags. My car is ahead of were Google Maps thinks I am by about a minute. This also happens with Waze. It also makes switching over to other car play apps extremely slow almost not possible. If I use Apple Maps this doesn't happen but I don't like the Apple Maps. I've reset my phone connections. Deleted the saved car from CarPlay. All my location settings have been reset and updated. My service coverage is good in the areas. Also, all apps and Iphone are updated to the latest versions. Google maps worked great until about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas or is Apple just hating on Google Maps
