Free Apple TV subscription

Hello, i was offered a free 12 month Apple TV subscription with a new iPhone which i accepted but a charge has appeared on my credit card after i watched a movie. Why has this occurred?

The Apple TV+ subscription covers just the Apple Original content.

Items from the iTunes Store (buy/rent) are not included, and have to be payed for separately.
