Strange email claiming I requested Apple to reset my password

Hi all,

This morning I received a strange email, claiming that I had requested Apple to reset my password. I looked up possible scam/phishing emails on these discussion boards and elsewhere, but none of them match the one I got this morning. It seems suspicious to me because of the address, some of the grammar, and such, but there is a footer below... And again, it doesn't read like the other scam emails I've read about, so I just wanted to make sure if this was a scam or not. It was also sent only to my icloud email, and not my regular one.

Has anyone else gotten this email, too?

Thanks in advance,

MacBook

  • Apple would not warn of a pending account issue, giving you a deadline to fix the issue.
  • Apple does not include document, or PDF files to download.
  • Apple would not refer to you as Dear Customer, Dear Client, or anything other than the name on file for your account.
  • Apple would not have such horrible spelling or grammar.
  • Apple would not send a message to “Undisclosed Recipients”.

It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.
