I am trying to disable subtitles by default on my Samsung Smart TV AppleTV app.
I am having to manually turn them off every episode and it's driving me nuts. I went to the settings menu and clicked on subtitles, but I don't see an on/off option, just the type of subtitles to use. Is there no way to do this?

Turn Closed Captions and SDH off, if it was turned on.
I do not see that option in the menu. When I click on closed captions it only lists the background types. No on or off option.
Contact Apple Support for guidance on details that differ from the user guide.
So I just want to be clear. I can manually turn off subtitles on each movie and episode; however, the next episode or movie or even if I rewatch the same one, has the subtitles back on. There is no option available in the configuration menu (that I can find) to disable subtitles by default.
Does anyone have a Samsung TV that uses the app and experiences this?
