I have an older AppleTV. My account requires 2-step authentication. When I attempt to login with my Apple ID, I receive a verification code on my iPhone, but the AppleTV does not give me a field to enter the verification code. I just end up repeating my login attempts over and over.

To clarify, if you attempt to enter everything at the same time you will likely exceed the time limit. It is recommended to enter the password, and then manually request the code so the time can be used exclusively for adding the code to the end of the password.

I know its a little confusing, it took me awhile to understand it myself. Also, please do this quickly as the passcode received on the other device will time out quickly.
