Apple Gift Cards and Apple Card

Can I make a monthly payment to my Apple Card using an Apple Store Gift Card? The reason I ask is because I have about $500 worth of gift cards that were Apple Barclaycard Rewards in $25 denominations and want to buy a new iPhone. But according to the Policy, I can only use 8 cards at a time. Just looking for a work around like buying the phone in installments with my Apple Card and then using the gift cards to make the monthly payments.
