Spanish keyboard

I have a new macbook pro purchased in Spain. I've set the key board to Canadian English, the letters and numbers match the physical keyboard but a Shift 0 for example gives a ) — which is physically on the 9 key beside it. The same is true when using the Shift key on other numbers and non letter keys. The symbol produced does not match what is shown on the key. Any tips on how to get a better match between the symbol I'm going for and the physical keyboard?

If you want the output to match what is printed on the keys of your Spanish physical keyboard, then you need to set the input source to Spanish ISO, not Canadian English.
