iPhone 11 keyboard problem

My brand new iPhone is having issues . Looks like specific areas of my screen don’t work. My letter "i" is not working on my iphone 11 keypad. Also number 8 isn’t work g if using numerical keyboard.

Letter 'i' does work when phone rotated lengthways but once righted it does not. I updated to iOS 13.4.1. and Hard reset twice and talked to tech support.

anyone else have this problem ?

Kuwait: I had exactly same issue with my iPhone 11 keyboard, which I had bought around 4 months back. Letters 'c' and 'f' were not working in portrait orientation. On typing these letters, the adjacent letter to the left or right will type. When I switched the phone to landscape orientation, both the keys would work. Also the power slider and slider to accept calls were not working. I tried resetting the phone but it didn't help. I took the phone to the retailer "Best". They sent it to Apple authorized service center DIGITS in Kuwait. They repaired the phone by replacing the screen. It is working fine now. Ideally they should have replaced the full unit and not just the screen. I called apple customer care and informed them about this. They said that authorized service center do the full test and decide whether to replace a particular component or the full unit.

Hey, this happened to me as well. Some letters wouldn’t work. I took it to Apple they ran a screen test to make sure all areas were touch sensitive. The Apple specialist ran her finger around the screen left to right up to bottom and found my screen had a strip from top to bottom that was not responses. Pretty much my screen was somehow damaged. Have had 4 iPhones in my life and never has this happened. Luckily it replace for free because of the one year warranty. So your screen is also damaged somehow where a strip of sensors doesn’t work.

I have same problem keys "B" and "H" and then the whole column of apps can not touch to turn them on. I took the phone to Apple and they told me this is a screen replacement and reset of the multi-touch function calibration. 1 hour. My appointment is on Thursday. We will see how this works. BUT DO NOT RESET your phone. I made that mistake and that will NOT fix this problem. So now my phone does not work because I can not type in my wifi password.

I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH MY KEYBOARD WHEN ON THE INTERNET. IT OPENS WITH THIS AND WHEN I SWITVH TO THE KEYBOARD THERE ARE A MIRYAD OF ISSUES.

1) THE SHIFT STAYS ON UNLESS I TURN IT OFF MANUALLY.

2) IT DOESN'T AUTO CAPITALIZE WORDS IN A SENTENCE AFTER I TURN IT OFF.

3) ALL LETTERS ON THE KEYBOARD APPEAR CAPITALIZED REGARDLESS IF THE SHIFT IS ON OR OFF.

4) THE KEYBOARD IS EXTREMELY LAGGY.

5) SOMETIMES IT WILL ADD A PERIOD AFTER A SENTENCE AND SOMETIMES IT WON'T.

6) IT DOES NOT OFFER PREDICTIVE TEXT ONLY EMOJIS

7) IT OFTEN DOES NOT INPUT LETTERS AFTER TAPPING THEM. OFTEN HAVE TO TAP IT 2 OR 3 TIMES.

8) IT WILL AUTO-CORRECT CORRECTLY SPELLED WORDS WITH INCORRECTLY SPELLED WORDS.

9) IT WITH PUT A HYPHEN IN BETWEEN WORDS WHERE A SPACE IS MISSING INSTEAD OF A SPACE.

10) IT DOESN'T AUTO INPUT APOSTROPHIES.

IT STARTED WHEN I UPDATED MY IPHONE WITH THE LATEST UPDATE.

IT ASKED IF I WANTED “FULL ACCESS” I DIDN’T CLICK IT BUT IT CHANGED ANYWAY.

IT WORKS FINE IN IMESSAGE.

I FINALLY WAS CONVINCED TO SWITCH TO APPLE THIS YEAR AND I HAVE NEVER HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH A BRAND NEW PHONE. I DON’T WANT TO SWITCH BACK TO SAMSUNG GALAXY BUT I MAY HAVE TO IF THIS BECOMES A CONSISTENT OCCURRENCE.

PLEASE HELP!!

Ended up chatting with Apple customer service and they recommended taking it into an Apple approved service place. The closest to me was Geek Squad at Best Buy. They ended up having to replace the screen. Sounds like it is a fairly common issue. I would recommend taking it into a place like that and they can run diagnostics on it and provide options for fixing it! Good luck!
