Apple TV compatibility with tv

hi guys, I would like to buy Apple TV 4K, but my tv only supports HD1080p.

My question is, can I still use Apple TV 4K with my HD tv even without using the 4k, or I have to buy the normal Apple TV? because maybe in the future I will buy a 4k tv, so I would like not to buy two different Apple TV models.

Yes, the 4K Apple TV will work on an HD TV and simply limit output to 1080P. Once you upgrade your TV you can then access 4K/HDR
