Aperture 3.6

My photos are cataloged in Aperture. Apple Support said, "Click Open Photos to view the library in the Photos app. Or you can open the original library in iPhoto 9.6.1 or Aperture 3.6." The App Store shows no results for Aperture 3.6. There are no results on the internet. Does Aperture 3.6 exist?

Are you running a system version that supports Aperture? Aperture 3.6 can run on MacOS 10.10.3 Yosemite up to macOS 10.14.6 Mojave. But there is no compatible version of Aperture for macOS 10.15 Catalina any longer.

On a Mac with an older version of MacOS X you may be able to install Aperture 3.6 from the Purchases tab of the AppStore to prepare the Aperture Libraries for the migration to Photos (https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-8402).

It is essential to create high resolution previews before the library will be migrated to Photos or you will lose all adjustments you ever applied in Aperture. So it would help to install the Aperture 3.6 update and run aperture once to create previews.

Both Aperture and iPhoto were discontinued 5 years ago. They are neither developed or sold. There is no replacement for Aperture - Apple just got out of the pro-shooter end of the market. Photos is a replacement for iPhoto and it will also open Aperture Libraries.

Yes Aperture 3.6 existed, but you're a few years late to be looking for it, I'm afraid.
