Connect magic mouse 1 to apple tv

I would like to connect my magic mouse 1 to my apple tv. I can connect my apple keyboard, xbox controller etc without problem. I have been able to connect the mouse it to my ipad through the accessibility>assistive touch but on the apple tv under switches the bluetooth device option is missing. Is there a place where I can ask for a feature request? I don't think it is a problem to connect other bluetooth mice, why should it be more difficult to connect an apple mouse. If any device should work, you would think it would be the apple product. Thanks for any help!

I second the need for a mouse on Apple TV for the exact use case of remote desktop through Moonlight, etc. iPad doesn't have/need a mouse pointer either, but it still supports a mouse and will emulate a pointer when a mouse is used. I've found that the Siri remote trackpad works for basic pointer movements and clicking, but clicking on desktop sized buttons is a pain as the pointer will shift as soon as you press down. I've had to resort to using a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard connected to the headless PC which is upstairs and more than 30 feet away which makes the reliability of the connection absolute garbage. I think a better technology to develop would be an implementation of Bluetooth mesh networking in their devices.

Thanks for the response! I have an Apple TV HD and the apple mouse isn't detected. I can however pair other devices, it seems as though apple has cut out their own device for some reason. I tried to do what people do to get it to work on the ipad: https://appletoolbox.com/how-to-set-up-a-bluetooth-or-magic-mouse-with-ipados/

but this is not possible on the apple tv because the bluetooth devices under switches is missing. I was able however to use the above work around to connect the mouse to my ipad.

Those input methods are used for simple navigation, and hardly constitutes the same functionality as a mouse. Furthermore, it doesn't change the fact that there is no pointer. It isn't artificially limiting the connectivity as no mouse can be used.
