Since the latest update my Fitbit charge 3 will not connect to Bluetooth on my iPad mini. I’ve tried all the recommended fixes such as turning device on and off and deleting and restoring the app but still will not connect. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
Your Fitbit may need a firmware update.
I doubt this will work given what you’ve said you’ve done but it’s common for me to have to turn off/turn on the bluetooth for one of my trackers.
I force quit the app in question, swipe for the control center, turn off bluetooth, then turn back on, then restart the app and most often it reconnects.
I know with my wife’s Fitbit having it sync to multiple devices can cause issues if those devices are located close by. Apparently a conflict trying to sync to one device over another causing problems. Try connecting only to one device to see if it helps as well as restarting the FitBit can also help with connection issues.
Unfortunately it doesn’t matter if the iOS update broke it, the burden is on the developers of the third party items - in this case Fitbit - to update their stuff to be compatible with the changes Apple may have made.

That’s how it is and I can assure you that Android does the same thing. They provide the platform, developers use that platform to come up with and sell apps and it’s on the developer to keep their apps compatible with the operating system.
Developers are usually notified months ahead of time of changes.
You’ll need to contact Fitbit for service, support or assistance with their product.

Thanks but I've done this - deleted app - reloaded it - turned device off and on - turned bluetooth off and on - no luck! the problem started after the latest Apple software update.
How can Apple change OS. And then dump on Fitbit to correct Bluetooth connections that were previously working?
