Can I fix this problem at home. When I play back videos I have recorded I can only hear static over it. I have tested the microphone on voice memos and is fine it only happens when recording a video. I have an iPhone 11pro.
Any help would be great

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with the mic during video recording. It sounds like you are hearing static during recording. Testing inside the Voice Memos app was a good step. I can help you look further into this issue.
Check out: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working. As you can see there are actually several mics on the iPhone 11. The one for Voice Memos would be different than the one used with the camera. See the section "If people can't hear you when you're using speakerphone". Test this mic with the speakerphone feature. If the issue is still there, follow step 5.
If everything seems working with the speaker phone, let me know and we'll go from there.
