Bootcamp: EFI Error on Windows install

When I am installing Windows 10 after I format the Bootcamp partition, I receive the following error message:

"Windows detected that the EFI system partition was formatted as NTFS. Format the EFI system partition as FAT32, and restart the installation"

I am not sure what is going on. I have the latest Windows 10 ISO image and my system is completely up to date. USB drive is formatted to exFAT.

iMac, OS X 10.11

Once you run Create+Download, you do not need to run it again. Install should be run only once. If it fails, any extraneous partitions should be cleaned, SMC and NVRAM Reset, before the next attempt.

Do the EFI NoName partitions need to be removed?

Yes, otherwise you will not be able to install Windows.

Run

dskutil eraseVolume free free disk0s3

and repeat this command for disk0s4 through disk0s15. Post the output of

diskutil list

before we go further.

Each EFI NO NAME partition is indicative of a failure. This typically indicates attached external storage during Windows installation.

Your Mac should have there options in BC Assistant - Create, Download and Install.

  • Enabling the first two builds a Windows installer. You must use a USB2 Flash drive.
  • Install partitions and installs the disk

iMac 27-inch Late 2013

MacOS Catalina version 10.15.4

After bootcamp finishes the drive partition the computer reboots and automatically loads the windows install and I get the error code. I have tried to manually load it by using the option key, I have even tried creating the USB drive manually without the help of Bootcamp but I still get the same error .
